
ATC Awards Death Penalty To Four In Triple Murder Case

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th August, 2016) : An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday awarded death penalty on six counts to four men including Waris Butt, Faisal, Qaisar and Haris Ali in a triple murder case. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 310,000 each besides awarding imprisonment terms under different charges.
However, the court acquitted Babar Ali Jutt, Noor Haider, Arsalan Waheed and Faisal Rafique after giving benefit of doubt. ATC-I Judge Azizullah Kalo announced the decision after hearing arguments of the parties and examining the available evidence. According to prosecution, the accused gunned down Muhammad Younus, Muhammad Bilal, Riasat Ali in Badami Bagh area in 2014 and injured four others. It is pertinent to mention here that the court had already declared three accused of case as absconders.
