ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Nov, 2018 ) :Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Capital Development Authority (CDA) Ali Nawaz Awan Wednesday expressed the hope that opposition would support the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in its drive against the corrupt and help arrest those involved in mega corruption cases.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was taking action against the plunderers of national wealth without discrimination, he stated while talking to a private news channel.
He said the government was working on legislation to bring the looted public money back from abroad and the opposition would surely back its endeavour to hold the elements who had damaged the country's economy through money laundering, to task.
Like Malaysian leader Mahatir Muhammad, Prime Minister Imran Khan was keen to set an example by putting the the corrupt in jails, he said, adding without wiping out corruption, no country could make progress in any field.
To a question, Ali Nawaz Awan said that PTI government would implement the laws for ensuring women rights.
In that regard, the teachings of Quran and Sunnah would also be adhered to, he added.
Jamat-e-Islami's Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan said the JI would fully back the PTI chief and his government for implementing the blasphemy laws, besides ensuring rights for women according to the Quran and Sunnah.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's Member of the National Assembly Robina Arshad said her party would also support the government for women rights.
Awami National Party's Senator Sitara Ayaz said it would be the best work of present government if inheritance laws regarding women were implemented in the country.
