Awareness Campaign On Drug Prevention Launched

Attock, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jan, 2019 ) :Police organized a walk to create awareness on disadvantages of drugs under its campaign titled, "Drug Prevention".
The walk was led by DPO Attock Hasan Asad Alvi while teachers lawyers, religious scholars students and notables from all walks of life participated in it.
DPO while addressing the participants emphasised the need of a collective effort to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society.
He said narcotics has become an undeniable threat to our society and every member must play his/her role in creating awareness and to remain vigilant about the surroundings.
He also advised people to seek help from police in case of need.
DPO said narcotics were like termite eating society silently and said that those peddling drugs would not be spared and brought to justice.
He said that to create awareness among students about the dangers of drugs, police officers including PRO Attock Police Tahir Iqbal and others have started visiting educational institutes and delivering lectures to students and faculty members regarding the menace of drugs.
He said the educational institutes could play their role in bringing about social change and in reforminglives of the youth on a larger scale.
He said, youth are real asset of our country and to secure their future was our responsibility.
