Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th February, 2019) Bahrain has lifted the ban on issuing visas to Pakistan.
Bahrain has announced to provide visa-on-arrival facility to Pakistanis as well.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government and Bahrain’s embassy played a key role in lifting the ban.
The development is being termed as a diplomatic success of PTI government.
The incumbent government has succeeded in improving ties with Bahrain after taking its relations with Arab countries to a new height.
Bahrain had imposed a ban after it was revealed that Afghan nationals were issued visas to Bahrain in the guise of Pakistani citizens with the help of Pakistani embassy.
The Foreign Ministry, under the PTI government, had taken action against the responsible persons.
Bahrain’s government was finally satisfied with the steps taken by Pakistani government and removed the restriction on issuing visas to Pakistani citizens.
Bahrain has not only lifted the restriction, it has made the process of getting visas easier as well.
Bahrain has introduced visa-on-arrival facility for Pakistanis residing in Gulf countries and e-visa facility for Pakistanis wanting to go to Bahrain.
With these steps by Bahrain’s government, Pakistanis will be able to go to the gulf country for employment and tourism purposes.
