Bail plea of seven accused in Poly Clinic corruption case rejected

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Sep, 2016 ) : A Special Court of Islamabad on Thursday rejected bail plea of seven accused allegedly involved in corruption found in the purchase of gas cylinders for Poly Clinic Hospital.

Special Judge Central Malik Nazir Ahmed announced the verdict which was earlier reserved.

The seven accused including five doctors of Poly Clinic Doctor Iftikhar Naro, Zulkifal Sabir, Fiaz Ahmed Sheikh, Azmat Hammayun and Farakh Iqbal and a section officer of CADD Farhan Sikandar and contractor Malik Rehmat filed a bail plea seeking their post arrest bail in the case of embezzlement of more than Rs 30 million in purchase of oxygen gas cylinder for the hospital.

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has registered a case against the above accused and arrested them.
