Balochistan Home Minister Condemns Suicide Attack

Balochistan Home minister Agha Umar Jan Bangulzai on Wednesday strongly condemned the suicide attack near a polling station in Bhosa Market, which claimed at least 31 lives and and injured 30.
QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jul, 2018 ) :Balochistan Home minister Agha Umar Jan Bangulzai on Wednesday strongly condemned the suicide attack near a polling station in Bhosa Market, which claimed at least 31 lives and and injured 30.
Talking to APP, Agha Umar said terrorists wanted to sabotage the peaceful holding of general election in the province, however, they could not succeed in their nefarious designs as the security forces were on high alert.
He said the suicide attack could not deter the people as polling continued across the province peacefully. Even the voting process at the polling station in NA-266 Quetta, where the attack occurred, was later resumed after the security clearance by the law enforcement agencies, he added.
He directed the health department to provide all available medical facilities to the injured."Critically injured will be shifted to the Combined Military Hospital and other hospitals, whose treatment expenses will be borne by the government," he added.
The minister said Deputy Inspector General of Police Abdul Razzaq Cheema luckily escaped the attack. He urged all segments of the society to play their due role and cooperate with the security forces to curb terrorist activities.
He expressed condolences with the families of martyred and prayed for early recovery of the injured.
