Deputy Inspector General Police, Zhob Division, Abdullah Khan while talking to APP on Thursday said the local and foreign tourists were visiting the province in thousands after the improvement of security situation and government's special focus for the revival of tourist industry He said the tourists coming from other provinces are provided special security as they enter in the limits of Dera Ismael Khan and Dera Ghazi Khan where law enforcements agencies vehicles ensure their safe mobility across the the province.
Abdullah said the department seeks Frontier Corps's help to ensure maximum protection and safety of the tourists in sensitive areas. It has helped promote tourists industry, besides generating economic activity in far-flung areas.
he added. He said the influx of tourists has eventually helped in poverty alleviation. An official of Balochistan Tourism Development Corporation said tourists are now visiting the province in high numbers and motels and restaurants are being established at each picnic spot besides connecting with road network.
He said this has been ensured due to improved road network after CPEC scenario. The government's enhanced security measures have helped improve tourists' confidence and transport facility would soon be available to facilitate them, he added.
"We have planned to promote tourism even at Tehsil-level," he said, adding a committee has been formed, comprising representatives of public and private sector to boost tourism in the province. He said the development of tourism would help in creating jobs and boost business activities in the province.
The prominent tourist attraction spots are Punnu Fort,Mehrgarh Ziarat Residency, Baba Kharwari's shrine, Moola Chotok and Pashin vallies,Hangol National Park, "Nani Mandir in Hingol, Astola Island, Gawader, Sulaiman-Kirthar, Khojak Pass , and Hina Lake etc.
The tourists spots may be able to absorb tourists in large numbers if provided with quality access and safety, besides ensuring missing facilities.
