Bank Officer Jailed For 7 Years In Corruption Case In Karachi

An Accountability Court on Wednesday convicted and awarded 7 years Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) to accused Syed Altaf Hussain, officer of United Bank (UBL)in Rs 12.997 million corruption case.

KARACHI,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Nov, 2018 ) :An Accountability Court on Wednesday convicted and awarded 7 years Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) to accused Syed Altaf Hussain, officer of United Bank (UBL)in Rs 12.997 million corruption case.

The court also imposed fine of Rs 12.

997 million and in case of default in payment of fine amount, he shall further undergo for two years.

The conviction was awarded when NAB prosecution made out the case of embezzlement of amount worth Rs 12.997 million in Ufone bank account maintained in UBL Hamid Square branch, Gulshan e Iqbal.

The accused has been arrested and sent to Jail for serving his conviction term.
