Banner, Stickers, Huge Billboards Confiscated

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jun, 2018 ) :The City District Government Rawalpindi Sunday confiscated political banners, stickers and huge billboards on the violation of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) rules set for the general election 2018.
The crackdown was launched on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Dr Umer Jahangir.
Assistant Commissioner City Liaquat Ali, city and cantonment magistrates, monitoring officers and officials participated in the operation and confiscated banners, stickers, and huge billboards belonging to various political parties from Kowral Chowk towards Chor Chowk.
The election code of conduct has set the size of portraits 2�3 feet; banners 3�9 feet; posters 18�23 inches; and handbills should not be larger than 6�9 inches. However, candidates have put up huge hoardings at several points of the city in different Constituencies.
