BAP Candidate Wins PB-48 Kech By-election

ISLAMABAD, Dec 7 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Dec, 2018 ) :Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) candidate Abdul Rasheed won the by-election on Balochistan Assembly seat PB-47 Kech-II, which was held on Thursday.

Abdul Rasheed secured 7,088 votes, defeating the Balochistan National Party-Mengal candidate Jameel Dashti, who got 5,758 votes and National Party's Fida Hussain Dashti who obtained 3,055 votes, a private news channel reported quoting unofficial results.

It may be added that the seat had fallen vacant when the election of BAP's Abdul Rauf Rind in the general election 2018 was declared void by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on account of his being a dual national.
