BHITSHAH (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 06th Nov, 2017 ) ,:The Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has emphasized the need of promoting the philosophy of mysticism in order to restore the atmosphere of peace, love, affection and brotherhood in the country.
A very few persons were using the religion for their nefarious designs and the soul of religion suffered badly as a result of which, he said and added that the entire world was under the grip of terrorism even the shrines and holy places were not safe from the hands of these miscreants.
The PPP Chairperson expressed these remarks while addressing the concluding ceremony of three day 274th annual Urs celebrations of great Sufi Saint and poet Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai here on Monday.
He said the philosophy of mysticism is not locally based but it has valued in the entire world and the message of love, peace, affection and brotherhood which preached by Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai is for all nations and it needs to be promoted in the world.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that he always recalled the services of his mother Mohatarma Benazir Bhutto against dictators and for restoration of democracy whenever he read the struggle of Sassui which narrated by Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai in his Raga.
I feel pride when the people of the country called my mother as Marui Maleer Ji because she passed hard time of struggle along with the poor people in exile which also faced by Marui, the patriotic character of the poetry of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai, he said.
In his poetry, he said that Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai had focused the poor class of the society particularly he given high place and respect to women in his poetry. Bilawal said that his grandfather Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and mother Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto had given high respect to the poetry of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai and visited his shrine many times.
He said that he came to shrine today to continue the tradition and follow their footprints. The Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali shah said Sindh is the land of Sufis and their preaching made it the land of peace and love.
He added that PPP always followed the messages of holy saints and struggled to make the province, the land of peace and love. We want to make Sindh a land where the persons who trying to create misunderstanding on the basis of religion and sects, cannot succeed in their nefarious designs, he vowed.
The Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of Culture Minister and his team members to bring a positive change in the department which now engaged in promoting the cultural activities with rapid pace.
Syed Murad Ali Shah said that he was happy in accompanying the party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardri while laying floral wreaths and offering fateha at the shrine of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai.
Among others, Sindh Minister for Culture and Tourism Syed Sardar Ali Shah also addressed the participants of the ceremony. On the occasion, the Taiwan nationalist student of Howard University Pi Ling Huang who is doing research on the ragas of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai presented Shah-jo-Rag while Saif Samejo, Mai Duhai from Tharparkar, Rajab Faqir, Suhrab Faqir, Khalid Bhatti and Taj Mastani also performed and presented the kalam of Hazrat Shah abdul Latif Bhitai.
Later, the PPP Chairperson along with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah gave Latif Awards to folk artists who showed outstanding performance in the field of culture. Earlier, the PPP Chairperson visited the shrine of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai where he along with Sindh Chief Minister laid floral wreaths and offered Fateha.
