Bearish Trend Persists At PSX On Thursday

KARACHI, May. 18 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2017 ) : Bearish trend was registered at pakistan stock exchange, for second consecutive day, with its benchmark KSE-100 index reaching 50,956.60 points on close of trading session Thursday.
Analysts attributed the situation to the profit-taking approach with particular reference to financial, power, cements and oil sectors. PSX-100 index shed 554.
81 points while 69 million shares, pertaining to 405 companies changed hands, of which 183 gained in value, 204 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
Technology and communication, commercial banking and chemical stocks led the volumes with WorldCall Telecom registered to trade 32.5m shares followed by Engro Polymer (15.1m shares); Silk Bank Ltd (14.2m shares); Lotte Chemical (13.8m shares); Quice food (13.6m shares); Dost Steels (11.5m shares); Dewan Motors (8.8m shares).
