Begum Kulsoom Nawaz’s Chehlum To Be Held On Oct 18

The chehlum will be held at Jati Umra residence of Sharif family.

Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 16th October, 2018) The chehlum of late Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, the former first lady of Pakistan, will be held on Thursday, October 18.

The chehlum will be held at Jati Umra residence of Sharif family.

The general public will not be allowed to attend the ceremony. Only the members of Sharif family and their close friends and relatives will attend the chehlum.

Sources said that Mehfil-e-Naat will also be arranged on the chehlum.

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz will resume mainstream politics after Begum Kulsoom Nawaz’s chehlum.

Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, the spouse of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, passed away on Sep 11 in London after a protracted illeness.

Begum Kulsoom Nawaz was laid to rest at Jati Umra on Sep 14.

Her funeral prayers, led by noted religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil, were offered at the Sharif Medical City Complex Ground, and attended by a large number of politicians, PML-N leaders, workers, sympathisers and people from all walks of life.

Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz had announced that they will not take part in any political activity until the Chehlum of late Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.
