Black day observed at RAC

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Oct, 2016 ) : Black day observed here at Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) on Thursday to denounce Indian atrocities in Indian Held Kashmir. Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan.

Sooner or later the India occupied Kashmir will become the part of Pakistan. The current youth will see a liberated Kashmir in their lifetime because the occupant Indian forces cannot deprive the Kashmiri people from their right to self-determination for a long time.

These views were expressed by Senator Najma Hameed in a tableau show organized by Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) in connection with the Black Day, observed in Pakistan and world over to mark the Indian occupation of Kashmir on October 27, 1947.

Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed, District Officer Special education Dr Fauzia Khurshid, UK-Pakistan Cultural Forum Chairman Dr Shaukat Nawaz Khan and others were present on the occasion.

Special children from various institutions presented tableaus to pay homage to Kashmiri people for their sacrifices being presented for the independence.

Senator Najma Hameed said the Black Day is observed against Indian occupation of Kashmir to remind the international community and the United Nations of their moral duty to resolve the Kashmir issue as per the aspirations of Kashmiris.

Waqar Ahmed said RAC always played its due role to create awareness in the general public about Indian atrocities inflicted on Kashmiris. He said the Indian occupied Kashmir is the unfinished agenda of the Sub-continent partition plan.

He said the people of Pakistan have always assured their moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people and will continue their support till freedom of the Kashmiri people.
