Both Treasury And Opposition To Continue Legislation Process: Syed Ali Haider Zaidi

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi Monday said the parliamentary legislation was only possible when the Opposition cooperate with treasury benches for approving new laws and Bills for public friendly projects
Talking to a private news channel, he said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government would cooperate to approve all those public friendly Bills which would be introduced by the Opposition in the Parliament.
He said the government wants to make legislation on the public issues if Opposition would cooperate in the legislation process of the Parliament and added that the government is taking every possible step to resolve problem of the people on priority.
The minister said the cases of corruption and money laundering against the leaders of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) were started in the tenure of the previous regime.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government has not initiated the cases like Panama and money Laundering against the leaders of PPP and PML-N, he added.
Replying to a question about the ongoing accountability in the country, Syed Ali Haider Zaidi said the National Accountability Bureau is an independent national institution and not under the government control.
It was working efficiently to curb corruption from the country and taking action independently against the criminals and looters .
Responding to another question, he said the present government was taking steps to further strengthen the national economy, besides ensuring the basic facilities of life at the door steps of the people.
