Bringing Out Women Voters, Focus Of Candidates In South Waziristan

The main focus of candidates contesting elections from NA-49 District South Waziristan, is to bring out maximum number of women voters who could change fate of the constituency during the upcoming elections scheduled on July 25.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jul, 2018 ) :The main focus of candidates contesting elections from NA-49 District South Waziristan, is to bring out maximum number of women voters who could change fate of the constituency during the upcoming elections scheduled on July 25.
Around 25 candidates, contesting election from NA-49 District South Waziristan of Khyber Pukhtunkhaw, where apparently close contest is expected between Dost Muhammad Khan Mehsood of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) and Moulana Jamal ud Din the candidate of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA).
Talking to APP here on Wednesday, Moulana Jamal ud Din said that it was a first election after merger of Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA) in Khyber Pukhtunkhaw and people of the area had been taking keen interest to support the democratic process through their vote.
He informed that 2,510,154 registered voters including 1,507,903 male and 1,002,250 female voters would decide the fate of the constituency where 136 polling stations had been set up for polls.
To a question, he said that it was very important election for all candidates as people of the area had forwarded dozens of demands before the candidates as they were facing so many problems from several years.
He said that it was his party's manifesto to protect the Islamic culture and ethics of that area and promote Islamic teachings.
Meanwhile, Dost Muhammad Mehsood said that PTI would bring revolutionary change in the area and would work for education and health, which was dire need of the area.
He expressed that he would do all the things for the betterment of the people.
To a question, he said that PTI would hold a joint convention of South Waziristan and North Waziristan districts soon to motivate the people, especially women voters to come out for vote.
