Chairman PRCS Acknowledges Role Of Women Volunteers In Society

ISLAMABAD, Mar 9 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Mar, 2023 ) :Chairman of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), Sardar Shahid Ahmed Laghari on Thursday acknowledged the crucial role being played by women volunteers in our society.
"Women have always been at the forefront of humanitarian work, serving their communities with passion, dedication and selflessness, the chairman said in connection with International Women's Day.
Recognizing the struggle that women face daily, the chairman said, "From providing healthcare services to delivering aid during disasters, women have always been there, making a difference in the lives of those who need it the most".
He said women continue to face discrimination, violence, and inequality in Pakistan and around the world.
"We must continue to work together to create a world where women are treated with respect and dignity, where their voices are heard, and their rights are protected", he said.
The chairman extended his warmest wishes to all the strong and resilient women out there and said, "Today we celebrate your achievements, your contributions, and your unwavering spirit that has brought us this far".
"On this Women's Day, let us renew our commitment to gender equality, women's empowerment, and human rights for all and work together to build a more just and equitable world, where every woman has the opportunity to reach her full potential", he said.
"To all the women out there, I say: Keep shining, keep inspiring, and keep making a difference. We are proud of you, and we stand with you", he added.
