Chief Election Commissioner Appeals People To Ensure Vote Registration

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza on Tuesday appealed the country's people to visit their nearby Commission's display centre with national identity card and ensure registration of their vote.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Apr, 2018 ) :Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza on Tuesday appealed the country's people to visit their nearby Commission's display centre with national identity card and ensure registration of their vote.

In a message, the CEC said that the role of women and youth is very important in 2018 general elections and asked them to register their vote for active participation in democratic process. He said that citizens can contact the office of District Election Commission or Agency Election Commission for any assistance while details of all display centers are available at ECP's website which is www.ecp.gov.pk Meanwhile, the ECP said that the commission has placed the preliminary voters' lists at display centres for review from March 26 upto April 24.

It said that citizens can check their and their family's details related with their votes. It said that form 15 is available for registration as new voters, form 16 is for correction in voters' name while form 17 is available for exclusion of name due to death or any other reason besides using it for objection on any voter's' name.

The citizens have been asked to submit relevant forms with the Incharge of display centre, which are available free of cost. It added decisions on these forms will be made by the revising authority. These centres have been established mainly in public schools in districts and agencies.
