Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan Announces Establishment Of Agri Research Centre In D.I. Khan

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan Thursday announced the establishment of an Agriculture Research Centre (ARC) in D.I.Khan
He directed the completion of exploration of oil and gas in Pharpur and Darzinda within four months. "Two industrial zones will also be established in D.I.Khan," he announced.
He was presiding over a meeting regarding development and non-developmental activities in D.I.Khan here at Chief Minister's Secretariat.
Provincial government Spokesperson Ajmal Khan Wazir, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Ali Amin Gandapur, other MNA, MPAs from D.I.Khan, Secretary Finance, C&W, PHE, DG local government, Deputy Commissioner D.I.Khan and others attended the meeting.
The chief minister also agreed in principle for establishing a national park and launching a campaign of plantation of olive trees, the establishment of private shelter home in D.I.Khan with the cooperation of donors.
He approved the up-gradation of category D-Hospital of D.I.Khan. He also agreed in principle to hold Markhor Trophy at D.I.Khan.
The Chief Minister directed to resolve all the issues related to Waran canal and directed that irrigation and WAPDA should work out plan on the issue of Waran canal so as to ensure smooth flow of water for irrigating 80,000 acre agriculture land of D.I.Khan.
The meeting was briefed about beautification of D.I.Khan Project, sugar cane growers subsidy issue at D.I.Khan, sugarcane cess fund, national park, Chashma lift Canal Project, private shelter home at D.
I.Khan, D.I.Khan Safe City Project, health, education and other issues of district D.I.Khan.
The Chief Minister directed that all decisions of the provincial government should be implemented in letter and spirit.
Mahmood Khan assured that all CPEC project in D.I.Khan would be started very soon. The Chief Minister said that communication between federal and provincial governments would be expedited for early implementation on the project of Chashma Right Bank Lift Canal.
He also directed that a master plan should be prepared for the shifting of bus stands from Main Bazaar to resolve traffic issues in D.I.Khan. He said that RTA D.I.Khan may be taken in loop for this purpose. He said that a complete strategy would be developed to solve the issue of sugarcane grower's subsidy.
The Chief Minister also announced that the Category D-Hospital of D.I.Khan would be upgraded. He also directed the concerned authorities to send proposal to secretary health for the purpose.
He assured that postings of Duty Medical Officers (DMOs) would be made possible in all hospitals in D.I.Khan. Water supply schemes would be completed urgently, so as to provide clean drinking water to the people.
Technical staff would also be provided for local government department in D.I.Khan.
The Chief Minister said agriculture extension would be made possible and commercial land would befurther developed in D.I.Khan.
The Chief Minister directed that a full fledge plan should be prepared to protect Kacha areas from floods and other natural disasters in D.I.Khan.
