Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan has taken serious notice of illegal cutting of forest trees in Swat and directed for an inquiry into the matter to ascertain the identity of people involved for a stern action

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2019 ) :Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan has taken serious notice of illegal cutting of forest trees in Swat and directed for an inquiry into the matter to ascertain the identity of people involved for a stern action.

The chief minister on Tuesday directed the district administration to conduct a detailed inquiry into the matter and initiate action against the people involved.

The chief minister has also sought a report from the forest department regarding the matter at the earliest.

He said PTI government has a resolve to take action against the timber mafia, adding forest trees were our asset and no one would be allowed to deprive the motherland of this precious asset.
