Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi Tuesday said China was recently investing nine billion dollars in various projects in the country other than China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.
Many foreign countries were keen interest to invest in Pakistan due to prudent policies of the incumbent government, he said talking to a private news channel.
Ali Zaidi said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was taking gigantic measures to strengthen the national economy. "I have two new development and welfare proposals which would create job opportunities as well," he added.
The minister said all stakeholders should be brought on board to evolve consensus on issues for best national interest. The present government and opposition should sit-together and consult on issues to resolve them amicably, he added.
He said the opposition should play a positive role and avoid criticizing for point scoring.
To a query, he said National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was an independent national institution, which was working to investigate the matters.
