China Reiterates Call For Peaceful Resolution Of Kashmir Dispute

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Aug, 2024) China has reaffirmed its consistent and clear stance on the Kashmir issue, emphasizing the need for a peaceful resolution through diplomatic means.
"China's position on the Kashmir issue is consistent and clear.
The Kashmir issue is a dispute left over from history and should be properly resolved through peaceful means in accordance with the UN Charter, relevant Security Council resolutions and bilateral agreements," the Chinese Spokesperson's Office of the Foreign Ministry said in Monday.
In response to a media query regarding the continued unilateral Indian actions in the occupied territory of Jammu and Kashmir, especially in last five year in which India has unilaterally tried to change the status and demographics of the disputed territory.
The Chinese spokesperson urged all parties involved to avoid taking unilateral actions that could further complicate the situation.
