Church Of Scotland Delegation Stresses Inter-faith Harmony

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jan, 2019 ) ::A delegation from the Church of Scotland has stressed the need for inter-faith harmony for establishing durable peace in the world and curbing menace of terrorism.

The delegation members were talking to the participants in an important meeting during its visit to Pakistan Council for Social Welfare and Human Rights (PCSWHR) here on Sunday. Chairman PCSWHR Muhammad Ejaz Noori presided over the meeting.

The Most Rev Susan M Brown (Moderator Bishop of Church of Scotland), head of delegation and delegates Rev Mary J Stobo, Mr Alexander M Sneddon, Mr Dreak Brown and Bishop Alwin John Samuel (Bishop of Sialkot) stressed the need for education and peace for elimination of poverty, unemployment, ignorance, terrorism and militancy globally.

Later, while talking to the media here Sunday, the delegation members said Pakistan was blessed with the natural resources and proper utilisation of these resources was vital for developing Pakistan politically and economically.

They also appreciated the frontline role of Pakistan against terrorism for establishing global peace.
