Civil Aviation Authority Celebrates Defense Day

Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Thursday celebrated Defense Day at Bacha Khan International Airport (BKIA) Peshawar, Chitral Airport, Saidu Sharif Airport, Parachinar and EVHF Station Laram Top.

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Sep, 2018 ) :Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Thursday celebrated Defense Day at Bacha Khan International Airport (BKIA) Peshawar, Chitral Airport, Saidu Sharif Airport, Parachinar and EVHF Station Laram Top.

The day was started with special prayers for Shuhada, who sacrificed their lives for the country.

Banners and placards carrying shahuda pictures were displayed at prominent places of the airports.

For the first time CAA BKIA Peshawar displayed pictures of CAA officers who gave their lives in the line of duty at various airports.

A meeting was also held at BKIA Peshawar that was chaired by Obaid Ur Rehman Abbasi, Chief Operating Officer CAA. Sectional heads CAA, BKIA and heads of airlines and agencies also attended.

Sacrifice of shuhada including of those CAA officers who lost their lives during terrorist attack on Panjgur and Jiwani airports were also highlighted in the meeting.
