Set up in 1982, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) turned 36 on Friday and to celebrate its inception day, a ceremony was organized at the Multan International Airport (MIAP) here on Friday.
A full scale nursery having all species of plants opened at the airport to mark the day by APM, Muabrik Shah and other officers.
Homage was also paid to the CAA staffers who embraced martyrdom in terrorists attacks .
Speaking on the occasion, Airport Manager Multan (APM) Mubarik Shah urged all employees to work with more dedication and honesty for their organization.
He added that they should leave no stone unturned to contribute for progress and prosperity of the CAA.
Among others, Asst Director Qayyam Khalid, Abid Gill and Usman attended the ceremony.
Interestingly, the International Civil Authority Organization (ICAO), UN special agency established by States to manage the administration and governance of the Convention on International Civil Aviation, was also established on December 7, 1944.
It merits mentioning here that both ICAO and CAA celebrate inception day on the same day.
