Civil Society Lauds Prime Minister Imran Khan For Establishing Shelter Homes In Peshawar

People from cross section of the society including politicians, local government members and general public here Friday lauded Prime Minister Imran Khan for establishing five shelter homes in Peshawar and termed a great relief for homeless and needy people in the province.

Member National Assembly Nasir Khan Musazai told APP that Prime Minister Imran Khan had fulfilled yet another promise by establishing five state of the art shelter homes in Peshawar where modern facilities are being provided to needy and homeless people.

He said it would protect poor segment of the society from harsh winter besides provision of better food and accommodations facilities to them.

Today, Prime Minister Imran Khan has inaugurated state of the art Shelters Homes for orphans, street children and homeless people as part of 100 days plan of the PTI Govt in KP.

The PTI leader said this mega project is aimed at restoring the self-respect of those people who spend the night under the open sky besides broadening the circle of social responsibility by the state and citizens.

Five shelters homes have been established in Peshawar at Kohat Adda, Charsadda Road, Karkhano, Hajji Camp and Pajaggai Road to provide better facilities to homeless and needy people.

These shelters homes are equipped with all latest facilities including UPS, water geysers, electricity and medical care facilities. Over 430 people will be accommodated in these shelter homes where they will be provided free food and accommodations facilities.

The MNA said development of an integrated and comprehensive social protection system for an assistance of deprived segment of society is a key focused area of PTI government and under this landmark initiative of PTI Govt, latest rehabilitation centres for treatment of drug addicts and educational institutes for special children including deaf and dumb would also be constructed in next five years.

As many as 11 rehabilitation centres were already existed in the province and three social welfare complexes were completed for integration of various social and special services besides setting up of nine children protection units in the province. Three Darul Kafala (rehabilitation centres) for beggars was also constructed.

Retired Information Officer Misal Khan has also lauded PM Imran Khan for setting up five shelters homes in Peshawar and termed it leap forward to fulfill his commitment regarding 'Madina' model.

He said winter season was now in full peak in Peshawar and homeless people would not suffer any more after inauguration of shelter homes by PM Imran Khan.

Nazim Bahadar Khan, economic expert Sumbul Riaz, social worker Zeeshan Khan and others have also commended Prime Minister Imran Khan for inauguration of shelter homes in Peshawar.

They said such facilities was need of the hours as it would help minimize suffering of all those who did not have housing facilities in Peshawar. They expressed the hope that shelter homes would also be established at divisions level in the province.
