Civil Society, Law Enforcement Forces' Role Lauded In Peace On Muharram

Chief Minister (CM) Gilgit Baltistan (GB) Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman has lauded the role of civil society and law enforcement agencies for making foolproof security arrangements to observe Youm-e-Ashur with religious solemnity and reverence in peaceful atmosphere in the region.
GILGIT (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Sep, 2018 ) :Chief Minister (CM) Gilgit Baltistan (GB) Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman has lauded the role of civil society and law enforcement agencies for making foolproof security arrangements to observe Youm-e-Ashur with religious solemnity and reverence in peaceful atmosphere in the region.
The GB CM also appreciated efforts of other government departments including health, Rescue 1122 for rendering their services to facilitate faithful on the occasion, adding role of Ulema could also not be neglected as far as religious harmony among different schools of thought was concerned.
The statement said the religious scholars played role in society like opinion leaders who extended valuable services and cooperated in maintaining harmony, brotherhood and peace, adding peaceful observance of Youm-e-Ashur was example for other provinces of the country to follow.
Appreciating services of Force Commander Northern Areas Major General Saqib Mehmood Malik with regard to security measures, Hafizur Rehman said the former visited the Safe City Control Room to receive briefing on security arrangements which included monitoring of processions through closed-circuit camera(CCTV) and drone cameras.
