Civil Society Participation Must For Narcotics Control

Sindh Minister for Labour Ghulam Murtaza Baloch Saturday said increased trend among young people to use drugs was a matter of concern

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2019 ) :Sindh Minister for Labour Ghulam Murtaza Baloch Saturday said increased trend among young people to use drugs was a matter of concern.

He said it was our collective duty to save new generation from the menace narcotics and to motivate them towards healthy activities.

He stated this while addressing as chief guest here at an event "how to save new generation from drugs", organized by a non government organization Nai Zindagi Trust.

The minister said without participation of civil society members especially teachers, parents and other stakeholders, they could not make the society free from drugs.

He said it was really a big task but if they worked together they could achieve the task.

Administrator Nai Zindagi Dr. Ayaz Soomoro briefed Sindh Minister about working and performance of the Trust. He said the trend of narcotics use in our society was rising and they should save our children from it.

Director, Anti-Narcotics Force Abid Ali, UC Chairman A.D. Soomoro, Vice Chairman Amanat Zia and others were also present on this occasion.
