CM Message On World Hepatitis Day

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jul, 2024) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, in her message on the World Hepatitis Day, said that environment free from contamination and provision of clean drinking water save many from multiple diseases.

“The number of Hepatitis B and C patients is increasing rapidly and we need to undertake collective efforts along with preventive measures for their complete eradication” she said.

The Chief Minister said, "Prevention from Hepatitis becomes easier by adopting preventive measures as its treatment is prolonged and difficult.

"Hepatitis is a silent killer and is adversely affecting the lives of lakhs of people.

Further awareness and information regarding Hepatitis inevitably need to imparted among the citizens."

The CM said," Vaccination facility for the prevention of Hepatitis along with free test facility is available in all the hospitals across Punjab."

She appealed to the citizens to adhere to all the essential preventive measures so as to prevent themselves from Hepatitis. She added, "Introducing waste management system in every city of Punjab will enable the citizens to prevent themselves from Hepatitis and other ailments."
