Collective Efforts Urged To Eradicate Polio: DC

KASUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jan, 2019 ) :Deputy Commissioner Sahibzadi Waseema Umer here on Sunday expressed that collective efforts were needed to eradicate the menace of polio from society.
She said it was national responsibility to eliminate polio and citizens from every segment of the society should come forward and play their effective role in this noble cause.
The three-day polio drive will contiue from January 21 to 23 and over 600,000 children would be administered polio vaccine under it, she said adding, 1473 trained teams formulated including 1274 mobile teams, 126 fixed and 73 transit teams.
DC underlined that 286 area in-charges would supervise the polio drive as follow up polio campaign would be held on January 24 to 25.
Waseema Umer said that it is the responsibility of parents and guardians of the children tovaccinate polio drops up to five years and protect their children from disability.
