LARKANA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Aug, 2017 ) : Commissioner Larkana Division Muhammad Abass Baloch on Thursday presided over a meeting on Tree plantation in the Larkana Division. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioners of Larkana, Kamber-Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, Jacobabad and Kashmore-Kandhkot districts, Director education Larkana, officials of various nation building departments.

On the occasion, Commissioner Larkana said that trees play an important role in improving environment by producing oxygen which is essential for the human's health. He said that by planting trees the water and salinity can be control as well as the wood of the trees used in construction of houses especially in rural areas.

He emphasized that every citizen should actively take part in tree plantation campaign and plays their due role to tackle growing environmental issues.

Commissioner Larkana appealed to the people that they should come forward and plant maximum trees in their houses, both sides of the Roads and Canals, so that the greenery may be ensured for the healthy enviornment.

He stressed that more and trees could help control pollution and therefore all and sundry should come forward to make the plantation drive a success. The Commissioner said that, we are, and will, continue to carry out tree plantation campaigns across the region.

It is the government's resolved to plant maximum number of trees, he said. He asked the officials that they should carry out the plantation campaign in their respective departments. The trees make our environment pleasant and also save us from pollution, he added.
