Commissioner For Devising Multi-dimensional Strategy To Face Monsoon Rain, Flood

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jul, 2024) The Divisional Commissioner Bilal Ahmed Memon presided over a meeting in his office at Shahbaz Hall regarding monsoon.

Addressing the meeting Commissioner said that keeping in view torrential rain and floods of year 2010 and 2022 a multi-dimensional strategy should be formulated and make close contact more effective to face rain as predicted by Meteorological Department.

Additional Commissioner-1 Ahsan Ali Qureshi, Deputy Commissioner Zain ul aabdin Memon, officers of WASA and irrigation were also present in the meeting while DC Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Badin, Dadu, Thatta and Matiari participated through video link.

Commissioner was apprised about the arrangements made for tackling rain and flood issues.

Commissioner said that details about the shortage of funds while carrying out rescue and relief activities should be shared to his office so that necessary funds could be released after talking with relevant authorities.

On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner apprised the meeting about the precautionary measures adopted for cope up with rain and flood.
