Commissioner Hyderabad Sets Three Months Deadline For Shifting Of Vegetable Market

The Commissioner Hyderabad Muhammad Abbas Baloch has set deadline of three months for shifting of old vegetable market Hyderabad to its new venue at Hala Naka and called upon all relevant departments to speed up their efforts to meet the target well in time.
HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Oct, 2018 ) :The Commissioner Hyderabad Muhammad Abbas Baloch has set deadline of three months for shifting of old vegetable market Hyderabad to its new venue at Hala Naka and called upon all relevant departments to speed up their efforts to meet the target well in time.
Presiding over a meeting here at New Vegetable Market Hala Naka on Monday, the Commissioner maintained that strict legal action will be initiated against those officers who failed to complete the assigned task in time.
He asked the Chief Executive Officer Hyderabad Electric Supply Company to ensure the availability of electricity in the market with installation of required number of power transformers and poles.
The Works and Services Department should repair the roads of the markets and complete the construction of available sheds, he said and asked the management of Water and Sanitation Agency to ensure proper drainage system so that the traders could not suffer any inconvenience after shifting their business in the market.
He also directed the Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad to form a committee for close coordination among the departments concerned and the stakeholders. The encroachments along the roads leading towards new vegetable market should also be removed at the earliest, he added.
The representatives of the concerned departments briefed the Commissioner about the works of their respective departments assuring him that sincere efforts are under way to shift the old vegetable market to new one at Hala Naka Road at the earliest.
Among others, the Chief Executive Officer HESCO Reham Ali Otho, Director General Agriculture Extension Hidayatullah Chajro, Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Muhammad Aslam Abro, Managing Director WASA Saleemuddin, Director Agriculture and Marketting Shoukat Ali Mastoi and Assistant Commissioner Hyderabad City Sara Javed also attended the meeting.
