Commissioner Kalat Division Reviews Security Arrangements For Muharram

Commissioner Kalat Division Muhammad Saeed Jamali on Tuesday presided over a high level meeting to review security arrangement for Muharram-ul-Haram particularly Yame-Ashur throughout districts.

Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar Major (retired) Muhammad Ilyas Kabzai, Deputy Inspector General Police Kalat Agha Muhammad Yousaf, Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Skindarabad, Dr. Khuda-i-Reheem Mirwani, Deputy Commissioner Mastung Qaim Khan Lashari, Addional Deputy Commissioner Lasbella Dostain and senior officers attended the meeting.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Khuzdar Major retired Muhammad Ilyas Kabzai briefed the Kalat Commissioner Division regarding arrangements of security plan for mourning procession of Muharram-ul-Haram.
DC said strict security arrangements was finalized for procession of Muharram-ul-Haram and Imam Bargah Hussaini Khuzdar, saying that security forces including Levies force, police and Frontier Corps (FC) have deployed at sensitive areas to maintain alert to control any untoward situation in district.
He said a control room was also established at District Police Officer Office for monitoring security situation during Muharram-ul-Haram in 24 hours.
District Inspector General Police Kalat Rang told the meeting that a large number of police has been deployed at Imam Bargahs of Kalat and main mourning procession in order to ensure foolproof security during Muharram.
He said DC and DPOs would visit sites to personally review security arrangements of processions of Muharram-ul-Harram in respective areas.
Commissioner Kalat Division Muhammad Saeed Jamali instructed concerned officials that CCTV camera will be installed at main routs of mourning procession in respective areas.
He said the implementation of ban on pillion riding on Muharram 9 and 10 should be ensured, saying that emergency will be imposed at respective hospitals, despite ensuring attendance of doctors in hospitals on the occasion of Muharram-ul-Haram's processions.
Muhammad Saeed Jamali warned that publication and distribution of literature based on religious hatred will not be tolerated at any cost and action is being taken under the law against violators.
"Special attention should be paid to the security of Imam Bargahs, Mosques and worship places", he said and adding that alternative arrangements of light, generators would be arranged for Majalis and mourning processions during night.
He directed Corporation and Municipal Committees' Chief to ensure cleansing of main routs of mourning procession in the respective areas.
