MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Sep, 2019 ) :Commissioner Multan division Iftikhar Ali Sahu directed departments concerned to retrieve state land by launching crackdown against encroachments across the division.

He also ordered to improve recovery of all government dues including land revenue and directed revenue officials to make the mouzas online immediately and upload record.

Iftikhar Sahu said this while presiding over a meeting here on Thursday.

He directed the officials of land record centres to treat the people politely and make the new system easier for the masses.

He also ordered to increase the recovery of stamp duty, land revenue, water rate and agriculture income tax.

He also ordered crackdown against illegal petrol pumps, marriage halls and marquees.

While giving briefing to Commissioner, officials said that 589-Kanal land worth Rs 25074 million was retrieved during operation against encroachment. As many as 66 FIRs were registered against profiteers, 28 arrested while Rs six million fine was imposed during last month of August in the Multan division.
