Commissioner Multan Urge To Improve Tax Collection Targets

Commissioner Multan, Imran Sikandar Baloch directed the departments concerned to improve the targets of tax collection.
He ordered to conduct seminars and walks to aware the citizens about double tax and to provide list of tax defaulters to district administration and police.
Sikander expressed these views during a briefing of various department's performance here on Friday.
He directed the arts council administration to contact with district administration for preparing Calendar to promote cultural activities at district and tehsil level. He said Rs 50,000 cash prize would be awarded to the winning team of the drama festival 'Jashn-e-Tamsila'.
Director Arts Council, Sajjad Jehanian said that 'Khidmat cards' were distributed among 79 artists last year, while report has been sent to the Punjab government for providing cards to 100 another artists current year. He said that calendar was prepared to promote cultural shows and other cultural activities.
He directed the Punjab Small Industries Corporation to impart training about business to small level businessmen and to prepare strategy about skill development programme.
Additional Commissioner Punjab Revenue Authority Raees Humayun said that the Punjab revenue authority had achieved good results in tax collection. He informed that 2436 tax defaulters were registered in Multan.
