Committee Expresses Concern Over Delay In Issuing Of Degrees To Students

The Senate Functional Committee on problems of Less Developed Areas has expressed concern over the problems faced by students and delay in issuing of degrees
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th March, 2019) The Senate Functional Committee on problems of Less Developed Areas has expressed concern over the problems faced by students and delay in issuing of degrees.The meeting of committee was held on Thursday with Senator Muhammad Usman Kakar in the chair.The committee expressed its displeasure over the delay in issuing the students degrees and recommended that universities should give admission to students' belonged to backward districts of the provinces.The Chairman HEC informed the committee members that implementation was being made on the recommendations of functional committee and added that HEC annual performance report 2016-17 was being printed and would complete soon.
The meeting was attended by, Senator Gianchand, Fida Muhammad, Muhammad Ayub, Haji Moman Khan Afradi, Kulsoom Parveen, Chairman HEC, Director KP University and other attended the meeting.Senator Fida Muhamamd was of the view that a time frame must be developed in the presence of all stakeholders and must include other tangents of the issue as well.
Committee was also told that under Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan Package scholarship of Rs 3139 million for 600 students of M-Phil and PhD.
