Communication & Works Minister Directs Completion Of ADP 2018-19

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Communication & Works Akbar Ayub Khan has directed to immediately finalize the Annual Development Programme for fiscal year 2018-19.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Sep, 2018 ) :Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Communication & Works Akbar Ayub Khan has directed to immediately finalize the Annual Development Programme for fiscal year 2018-19.
He directed to adopt realistic approach in overall developmental strategy, adding that new schemes should strictly be included in ADP.
He made it clear that important ongoing schemes would be completed on priority basis in order to give immediate and maximum relief to the people. These views, he expressed during the briefing given about the proposed annual development programme here at his office C&W department Peshawar.
The Director Planning and Monitoring Shakir Habib gave a detail presentation on Annual Development Programme for 2018-19.
As many as 297 ongoing schemes and 13 new schemes were proposed in road sector. Similarly 46 schemes were also proposed for implementation in building sector.
Provincial Minister agreed in principle with proposed developmental plan. However, he underlined the need to include new schemes of important nature in ADP plan and directed to finalize it without any delay.
He also directed to adopt realistic developmental strategy in accordance with the ground realities. He said, efficient and transparent utilization of available resources should be the ultimate goal. "We could not compromise on transparent use of resources and quality of work," he added.
He stressed the need to have an effective strategy for fast track completion of ongoing projects in order to address the public problems.
The Minister also directed to identify the reasons behind the slow implementation of certain developmental schemes directing that delay in implementation of projects without solid reasons, would not be allowed.
"All the hindrances and bottlenecks should be removed and the projects should be completed in time"and directed to take initiatives to handover the projects already completed torelevant departments so that they could be used for desired purposes.
