Comprehensive Plan To Enroll Capital's 27,300 Out Of School Children

Ministry of Human Rights was taking concrete steps to create awareness among the masses to raise the issues of over twenty five million out of the school children, majority engaged in child labour across the country.
An official source told APP here on Thursday that majority of the out of schools children unfortunately were working as labourers in different trades as they were living below the line of poverty.
He said it was also deplorable that over 13 million girls were also out of schools. Which, he added, was more concerning and regrettable.
"A comprehensive plan to enroll 27,300 marginalized children hailing from Federal schools was prepared and draft in this regard was already forwarded to the education minister for approval ", Joint Education Advisor Rafique Tahir.
The ministery would also share the strategy how to bring out of school children in the schools, he added.
"The plan, involving six main activities for the uplift of out of school children would be initiated under a private-public partnership basis," he said adding that the minister would himself disclose the details of those activities at a press conference.
According to an official, a few cases of child abuse at work are reported from unrecognized sectors.
Asad, a 15-year old boy working as a conductor said he was forced to carry this profession after the death of his father, who was the sole bread winner of a family which comprised of 5 members.
"I had to leave my studies half way to shoulder the responsibilities of my family to earn bread and butter for my family " Amir a 12 year boy at a motor mechanic workshop said. He said, he still wanted to go to school but it was a just dream now.
Children like Asad, Amir and many more are in millions who seek urgent attention of the authorities concern to take some solid steps as their number was increasing day by day.
