Consumer Court Decides 252 Cases In December 2016

DIKhan, Jan 6 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 06th Jan, 2017 ) : The Consumer Court decided as many as 252 cases most of against Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) in December 2016 out of a total 989 under trial and 196 new cases under Protection of Consumer Right Act 1997.
According to details, District and Session Judge Hafiz Nasim Akbar fined PESCO and owners of patrol pumps in various cases of injustice and overcharging from the consumers and decided various other cases especially of land dispute with consent of two aggrieved parties.
Currently, 933 cases are under trial in the court, while so far the court has decided hundreds of cases since its constitution in 2014. APP/adi/rn
