Convict In Zainab Murder Case Expresses Last Wish Before Execution

Imran Ali wants to seek forgiveness from Zainab’s parents

Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 15th October, 2018) The convict in Zainab Murder case, Imran Ali will meet his parents on Oct 16, a day before his execution.

The convict will meet his family, including his parents and siblings, at 12pm tomorrow. The jail administration has written a letter to Imran Ali’s mother Salma Bibi in this regard. The parents can bring at least 50 relatives to meet the convict.

The letter has directed the family to collect his dead body at 7:30am with an ambulance, suit and sheet. The convict’s dead body will be handed over to the heirs after medical check-up.

Jail sources said that the fear of death is visible on convict’s face. The convict is often seen crying and regretting over his crimes in the jail.

Imran Ali is provided food in the jail like other prisoners and is being strictly monitored so that he does not harm himself.

The convict has expressed his last wish to seek forgiveness from Zainab’s parents.

An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday issued black warrants for the execution of condemned prisoner, Imran Ali, in Zainab murder case. The court asked the jail authorities to hang Imran Ali on Oct 17.

Little Zainab went missing on Jan 4, shortly after she left home to go to a neighbour's house where she studied the Holy Quran. Her parents were in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah when the incident took place. After relatives reported her missing, the police recovered her body on Jan 9 from a heap of garbage.

Meanwhile, Zainab's parents want the convict to be hanged in public. Zainab’s father Amin Ansari also reached out to the Lahore High Court, demanding public execution of convict Imran Ali in her daughter’s rape and murder case.
