Corps Commander Calls On Governor Sindh

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Dec, 2016 ) : The Corps Commander Lt. Gen. Shahid Baig Mirza on Monday called on Governor Sindh, Justice (Retd) Said uz Zaman Siddiqui at the Governor House here.

They discussed the overall law and order situation in the province as well as the on-going operation, said a Governor House statement. The Governor felicitated Gen. Baig on assuming the responsibilities as the Corps Commander Karachi.

He was of the view that owing to the on-going operation, the law and order is being restored especially the economic, cultural, social and political activities in Karachi have been restored owing to this operation.

The Governor lauded the sacrifices rendered by the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and said that these would not be allowed to go in vain. He further stated the result of the operation is very encouraging and it would continue till its logical end and elimination of terrorism.

Justice Siddiqui said that with the restoration of law and order in the metropolis, the foreign investment has also increased. He pointed out that the government would extend every assistance to the investors. The Corps Commander assured the Governor every cooperation on the security issues.
