Corrupt Elements Won't Be Spared: Farogh Naseem

Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Dr Muhammad Farogh Naseem, on Tuesday said that while bringing law reforms, corrupt elements in the country would not be spared.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Sep, 2018 ) :Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Dr Muhammad Farogh Naseem, on Tuesday said that while bringing law reforms, corrupt elements in the country would not be spared.
The Minister was chairing a meeting to develop detailed plan on National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Law reforms in terms of making it more focused and effective, said a press release.
During the course of meeting, Dr Muhammad Farogh Naseem, Federal Minister for Law and Justice, said that the intention behind the composition of Task force is to reform the NAB Law in terms of making it more focused and effective to counter mega corruption with suitable checks and balances so as to avoid unnecessary harassment.
He said that all the stakeholders must be taken into confidence along with public support and opinion need to be kept in mind while preparing the new accountability law to further empower the NAB.
He was of the view that through this new accountability law a positive message is expected to be conveyed to the business community.
In the meeting, Imtiaz Tajwar, Deputy Chairman, NAB, apprised the Law Minister that NAB was on the same page as law ministry.
He also said that NAB is in contact with Business Community of Pakistan and a positive outcome is expected.
Mirza Shahzad Akbar, SAPM on accountability, Maleeka Bokhari, Parliamentary Secretary Law, Abdul Shakoor Paracha, Secretary Law, and other officials from F.B.R. and the Attorney General Office also attended the meeting.
