Court acquits 23 education officers of corruption charges

The National Accountability Court here Saturday acquitted 23 officers of Sindh Education Department who were charged with illegalities in appointments and corruption.

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Nov, 2018 ) :The National Accountability Court here Saturday acquitted 23 officers of Sindh Education Department who were charged with illegalities in appointments and corruption.

According to detail, the education officers from Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Matiari and Jamshoro districts including former Director Education Hyderabad Shamsuddin Dal were charged in the reference.

As many as four separate references were filed against the alleged illegalities of the officials which they committed during 2012 and 2013.

The officials who were booked include Dal, Abdul Azeem, Iqbal Ahmed, Safia Arbab, Ataullah Bhutto, Rajab Khaskheli, Bashir Ahmed Qureshi, Rasheed Ahmed Memon, Altaf Hussain Mangi, Sharif Laghari and others.

The NAB Court acquitted all of them due to want of evidence.
