Court Awards Patwari 3-year Jail Along With Rs 36.4m Fine

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Sep, 2021 ) :An accountability court on Thursday sentenced Patwari Muhammad Naveed to three-year imprisonment and imposed Rs 36.4 million fine on him in an asset beyond means case.
Accountability court Judge Asad Ali conducted the hearing and announced the verdict.
The patwari working in grade 5 in the Revenue Department was found guilty of corrupt practices.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore had filed a corruption reference against him in 2017, after completing the investigation in one-year time period. The convict was arrested in March 2017.
