CPEC mainstay for country's economic stability; said Chief Minister Balochsitan

Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan on Monday said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has become mainstay for the country's economic stability and Balochistan is playing vital role in this regard.

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Sep, 2018 ) :Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan on Monday said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has become mainstay for the country's economic stability and Balochistan is playing vital role in this regard.

He expressed these views while talking to the Chinese Ambassador Mr. Yao Jing, who was called on him here Monday. Chief Secretary Balochistan Dr. Akhtar Nazir, Secretary Irrigation, Secretary Labor and Secretary Energy were also present on this occasion.

The Chief Minister remarked that CPEC holds great importance for Balochistan's people, the future of our youth is associated with its successful completion. The incumbent government is taking concrete measures for training youth to play an active role in CPEC projects, he added.

The meeting discussed ways of investing in various sectors of Balochistan, progress of different ongoing development projects in Gwadar and other areas under the CPEC project.

The Chief Minister while highlighting the prospects of investing in Balochistan, said that for the promotion of business sector, the Balochistan board of Investment and Trade has been made functional to provide investors with all the necessary facilities under one roof. Development of Balochistan's mining sector would open new avenues of trade and business in this region, the Chief Minister said.

Jam Kamal Khan stressed for establishing Mineral Zone and Mineral Park in addition to the execution of industrial zones in the province under the CPEC project.

The Chinese Ambassador applauded the provincial government's role in accomplishment of CPEC project and assured that the matters indicated by the Chief Minister would be reviewed seriously.
