CS Chairs Meeting On Polio, Directs Effective Coordination, Communication

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Nov, 2017 ) :Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Azam Khan Friday presided over a high level meeting of Provincial Task Force for Polio Eradication here at Civil Secretariat.

Meeting among others was attended by Secretary Health Abid Majeed, Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners besides representatives of World Health Organization. Provincial Coordinator, Atif Rehman briefed the participants in detail about overall activities and situations regarding polio eradication in all districts of the province.

Chief Secretary directed participants to ensure effective coordination and communication process between emergency operation center and district administrations.

He emphasized to exchange experiences, local and modern remedies and case to case solutions continuously.

Participants were directed that efforts should be made to bring polio refusal cases to zero. Regarding children of migrant families, it was decided that arrangements at transit points of inter districts, provincials and Internationals boundaries would be further improved with the availability of polio teams at all such points round the clock.
