CS Sindh Asks For Timely Completion Of Development Projects

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Apr, 2019 ) :Chief Secretary (CS) Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah has advised the secretaries of relevant departments to expedite work on ongoing development projects.
He issued these directives while chairing a high-level meeting, said a statement.
The meeting also reviewed 27 development projects include 21 with the assistance of World Bank and rest in association with Asian Development Bank (ADB), USAID, JICA and Korea.
The meeting reviewed the progress of the projects in the Agriculture, Education, Health, Irrigation, Energy, Local Government, Works & Services, Live Stock, Fisheries and other sectors.
The meeting also discussed the progress of Karachi Infrastructure Development and Bus Rapid Transport Systems (Orange, Green, Blue and Red Line).
A project on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was also discussed in the meeting.
Chairman P&D board Muhammad Waseem briefed the meeting regarding Sindh Barrages Improvement Project, Sindh Agriculture Growth Project, Additional Financing Sindh Water Sector Improvement Project, Nutrition Support Program Sindh, Sindh Irrigated Agricultural Productivity Enhancement Project, Sindh Residence Project and Nutrition Sensitive Agricultural Project.
A Project of Sindh education Program (USAID) Assisted was also reviewed.
The Chief Secretary has also sought reports of all projects from the secretaries concerned within 10 days.
