CTD Officers Awarded For Good Performance

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Jan, 2017 ) : A ceremony was held in the office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nasir Khan Durrani for distribution of head money to the officers of the Counter-Terrorism Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab Police.
The officers were rewarded in recognition of their efforts to arrest the militants and proclaimed offenders on whose arrest the Provincial Government had fixed head-money. The Additional Inspector General (AIG) Counter-Terrorism Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa briefed the IGP regarding the performance of the different officers.
During the ceremony an amount worth Rs. 8 million was distributed among the twelve (12) officers who received the head-money on behalf of their teams for successfully nabbing 11 most dreaded militants.

0.5 million, Riaz Khan s/o Nadar Khan r/o Khyber Agency carrying head money Rs. 0.5 million, Syed Ameen s/o Saif-ur-Rahman r/o Khyber Agency carrying head money Rs. 0.5 million and Malik Zada @ Numan s/o Farhad Ali r/o Swabi carrying head money Rs.
1 million. It is pertinent to mention that these militants have been arrested as a result of joint efforts of police and other law enforcing agencies. Meanwhile, the IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani also awarded Punjab police who nabbed terrorists wanted to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police.
Addressing the officers, the Inspector General of Police has appreciated their working, dedication and courage. The IGP said that Almighty Allah bestows those who work for others. The IGP said that it was matter of great pride for the whole force and especially for the awardees to nab such dreaded militants and directed them to further expedite their efforts against the terrorists.
He expressed full confidence in the CTD team members and advised them to challan the accused after thorough investigation. He further emphasized that proper follow-up of the cases in the courts should be made so that the arrested miscreants are convicted.
The cash reward distribution will boost the morale of the officers of Counter-Terrorism Department and give a new impetus to their working the IGP concluded.
