Cultural organizations to mark 'black day' on Oct 27

The cultural organizations will organize various cultural activities to mark black day and express solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their unprecedented peaceful struggle for their due right to self-determination on October 27

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Oct, 2018 ) :The cultural organizations will organize various cultural activities to mark black day and express solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their unprecedented peaceful struggle for their due right to self-determination on October 27.

In this regard, Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) and National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) finalized preparations to mark the day in a befitting manners.

The cultural events will feature Kashmiri tarany (songs), tableau and speeches to highlight the black day.

The event would specially focus on the Kashmiri indigenous folk crafts with the objective to highlight the sacrifices of Kashmiri people struggling for their right to self-determination in the occupied Kashmir through a cultural perspective.

The event would be held at PNCA auditorium and Lok Virsa Heritage Museum Hall.

The folk artists from Azad Jammu and Kashmir would also perform on the occasion.�The artists of PNCA would also present folk and national songs on the occasion.

Many other private cultural organizations also organizing cultural events to mark the black day in solidarity with the Kashmiri brethern.

It is worth mentioning here that October 27 is the day, when Indian Armed Forces took over Kashmir by force and made it Indian dominion. In this connection, Kashmiris observe this day, all over the world, as a Black Day.
